The Power for February: Love
The spiritual power for this month is represented by the disciple John. The coordinating colour is Pink and the physical location is in a network of nerves just behind the heart.
Affirmation:
“There is no fear in love for perfect love casts out all fear.”
All Love is divine in nature. Yet, like all other faculties love is pivotal in expression. Expressed from within it is divine in nature, dissolvong every opposition to truth and erasing every obstacle that present itself. Expressed from the outer it seeks gratification on a purely human level. We fall victim to greed, fear, lust lack and limitation. When we give up blindly to these impulses suggested by human Love, we suffer the consequences.
One definition of Love is that “It is the feeling that excites desire for the welfare of it’s object”. If we could but recognize Love as embodying this ideal -- Recognize that God loves all His children equally to the degree that He poured His life, substance, Love and intelligence without reservation to all His children, we would find that Love is the solution to all of life”s problems. Releasing all thoughts of fear and any other feeling that would blind us to the truth, we would realize that.
Divine Love is the cosmic glue that binds the human family together. We are all inextricably created with the bonds of Love so “Beloved, As God so loved us we also ought to love each other.” —1 John 4:11.
