The Power for May: Power

May: PowerThe disciple representing Power is Philip. The colour is purple, and the physical location is in the throat at the root of the tongue.

Affirmation:

“Power is my ability to choose thoughts and feelings, and to change and build consciousness.”

Every attribute of God is an attribute of man, because we are made in God's image and likeness. We must remember that each attribute God has implanted in us, is an ability we have with which to build consciousness. In building consciousness, we use our ability to move spiritual energy about. God is absolute Power, and we can use that Power. We find ourselves manifesting God's energy into things like homes, clothing and food - and upgrading them. Power is our ability to heal, change our environment, and draw our good to us. God is Spirit, but sometimes we forget that we too are Spirit. It is wise to remember that we too, are Spirit and therefore perfect. Power is a thinking attribute, therefore masculine, and as we keep our thoughts at a high spiritual level of consciousness, we can claim any good we desire.

Our gift of spiritual Power is quickened through mental contact with its source, which is silence. We make contact by turning in silence to pure Power. God is Power. Power is silence, and is expended when we convert it into vibrations, or the Word. Through our Word, we name the form that Spirit will take. It is important to be consciously aware of our thoughts and actions, because we are building a consciousness through the Power we give them. Thought is our formed Power, and the Word is our expressed Power which becomes manifest. When we send our thoughts forth into the race consciousness and the world, we are literally shaping and forming the conditions in which we live.

Our gift of Power is not to be used over other people. When we try to control and manipulate others, it is a sign of weakness, lack of balance, and fear. We do not allow our attention to be constantly pulled to outer conditions and people, rather than to our source of Power. Our well being never depends upon others, so manipulating people is useless. We develop our awareness of Power not by controlling others, but by paying attention to how we use our thought and Word, and how closely they are aligned to the Silence. We draw Power from the Silence.

We recognize our wonderful gift of Power as a spiritual tool in consciousness development and draw upon it to bring more spiritual awareness into the consciousness of humankind.
